Points of interest, nightlife in restaurants, bars, clubs or discos in Timisoara

The gorgeous Timisoara, that lies on the Bega river, is the green city of the pleasant holidays, of the clubs and entertainment, of the Romanian good restaurants, but also of the Mediterranean Italian cuisine. Around the central university area, where the Vidican apartments are located, there are a large number of places: modern discos both for winter and for summer (outdoor), bars, terraces and swimming pools in summer, popular and good restaurants (not only Romanian ones), very crowded shopping centers such as Iulius Mall & Auchan and 2 large central squares: Union Square and Opera Square, attended by both tourists and locals at all times.

Not without reason, the students’ campus is the lively area of the Timisoara city and can offer something unique, like a fairy tale ... . Here life never ends, either day or night ... Somebody has invented the crazy things in here, like the discos opened every night, such as the Happy Club or Porky's, with good music and great atmosphere with many student girls,  very very beautiful ones, where you can fall in love every 5 minutes. Be sure that out of 100,000 students in the campus there are enough to populate these spicy clubs every night, and at weekends, also the big clubs around the campus area: Heaven Studio, Fratelli, Le Sinema, River Deck, Zambara, No Name, Madness or those in the center: The Note, Scottish and Molly Malone.

In the Students Campus you can enjoy a lot of bars, cafes and cheap fast food restaurants, full of students, open throughout the night. You can enjoy yourself, with less money, in the student clubs (1 € for a beer, 2 € for a cocktail), at the parties that take place in the campus or on the outdoor terraces, in summer, opened starting with May. Here, the student girls in Timisoara and not only, together with girls from Timisoara (the majority in fact), break the record in terms of the ratio girls / guys, their density reaches amazing numbers that are difficult to be accepted by those who have never been here, minimum 5 girls for every boy. It is the unique place in Romania to offer such a great performance, no ticket ... . Thus, Timisoara becomes besides "the city of parks and flowers" and also the "Paradise of the beautiful girls."

Near my apartments for rent you can enjoy the best Italian restaurants in Timisoara (Da Toni and Pomo d'oro), the Mexican restaurants (the unique restaurant Cucaracha), the Chinese restaurant or the traditional Romanian food restaurants: Camelot, Brewers Court (formerly Beer Factory, a recently renovated restaurant) and Grandma's house (Casa Bunicii).

For those who are in the Union Square (near the Catholic Cathedral) at noon I recommend the restaurant "Intermezzo" and if you are in the Opera Square (the Cathedral Square), next to the Banat Museum I recommend the Mac Donald's Restaurant or the Casa cu flori restaurant located on lateral street compared to the Opera, a very crowded street (Alba Iulia street), that connects the two largest and beautiful historic squares.

In the shopping center Iulius Mall & Auchan (one of the biggest in Europe) the most popular terraces are Ginko and Segafredo. The first one can be found exactly when you get to Iulius Mall by Starbucks terrace and the second one is above the Auchan store, around the foot of the stairs you take to get upstairs to the great Fast Food (1-2 hectary probably the largest in Europe). Here you will be surprised to find over 50 fast food restaurants with all kinds of specific food from Europe but also from other parts of the world. A delicious menu in these fast food restaurants costs only 2-3 €. When it comes to good restaurants in Iulius Mall I recommend the Italian restaurant "La Vella," a master-rated Italian food, just like the luxury but cheaper restaurants, Da Toni and Pomo d'oro in the university area. In Mall you can also find, on the top floor a large Black Box game room with: electronic games, billiards, bowling, darts and a huge and popular bar, where people go even late at night, at 1:00, even after the shopping center closes at 22:00. The great Cinema City with plenty of halls, where numerous films and premieres run, is also opened till late at night, up to 1:00.

Everyone in Romania knows that in Timisoara and on an area of 50 km around it there is the only place in the country where the majority of newborns are girls. The causes of this phenomenon have not been elucidated scientifically (girls / boys ratio 3-4/ 1) but it is supposed it is genetically connected to the local climate and soil. Lugoj, a town nearby, people talk about a ratio of 5 girls to one boy (even more), something that has never happened in Romania or in other countries in Europe.

I wanted to get to this point, to the fact that, in Timisoara, a city with many bars, terraces, modern nightclubs, good restaurants, beautiful pool and large (enormous) shopping centers everything operates normally throughout the year, not as in other cities in Romania or in Europe. Even on holidays or vacations, when some of the students do not stay here to work and leave the town, discos and bars operate normally because most girls in the bars are girls from Timisoara and not necessarily student girls. It goes without saying what happens when all the students are here during the academic year, the words are useless ... So, holidays for fun in Timisoara are welcome throughout the year, there is not a special season for having fun, clubs and restaurants work all the same, the only difference is that the most popular change their working point from a winter bar to an outdoor place, both very cozy.

All I have to do is to invite you: I’m looking forward to meeting you in a city in movement, with a long history, I invite you in the westernmost and the most civilized city of Romania and for the younger I recommend a jump in the paradise of fun and beautiful girls in Timisoara. It is worth trying to acquire a new and interesting experience in Romania. Romania begins where imagination ends, with Timisoara of course ....
